| Description |
| The scissor mechanism is the steel accordion-style framework of the chair that the footrest and back of the chair attaches to. It's bolted to each side of the chair along the bottom. As the motor moves the chair back from a sitting position, the scissor mechanism folds out the footrest and moves the chair back to a recline position.
